AI Kernel

There is alot people talking about Andrej Karpathy's recent tweet  describing emerging LLMs more like operating systems than chatbots. Much like a linux kernel, LLMs are already taking on orchestration functions at a different abstraction level. Could it become the main kernel in a new AI operating system of the future? That's an incredibly exciting idea to me. We'd have to rethink everything from human / interface interation, input / output , hardware.

In other news Open AI  just announced that input and output now support spanning across modalities (text, image, & vision)  --this is not a chatbot anymore.

I can still remember the hours I spent compiling my first Linux kernel(s). I failed so many times and then open day it worked and anything seemed possible and (my) world changed. Looking forward to that feeling again. Let's go...
