Exploring NFTs
I spent a bit of time over the holidays learning about NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and how to programmatically mint them from a set of image primitive abstractions. Lots of cool projects on GitHub for that. It’s been on my list of things to try before the year ends and it is getting pretty darn close to that time. I’m usually busy chasing around 2 kids --so better late then never. (More on that experiment later if I can get back to it) On a related note -- I'm in the process of moving and as I wrestle with a bank and a title company and the town records office-- I wonder why the title and ownership of property won't all move to a blockchain at some point.
Here is a fun project that I found from an artist based in Brooklyn, New York. It’s called Dark Dorm Neighbors and is a project of Dark and slightly Avant-garde . The art and styling is unique , beautiful, and projects it’s still pretty affordable. The artist's name is Leiron and you can see some of her work here.
This artist below is named Shvembldr and he is incredably talented. Each of his NFTs in the 444(4) collection is nfinite deterministic ratio and resolution agnostic art generator. What that means is every time you click on his NFT -- it generates a new random art. You can find his work here.
Another fun project that I follow is called Loom by Anna Lucia. She's simulating a loom in generative art with elements of randomness .
