Visualizing NYC Subway Data

 

I found a public data set recently from NYC while playing with Google Big Query and made a plot of some cooridnates to visualize better. Can you guess what this graph is ? (Hint : Metrocard)

How about now ? I rode subways growing up in New York and thought it would be fun to recreate an MTA subway map using geographic coordinates and public data . You can download my data viz here. The data ordinally comes from NYC OpenData ; I found a version inside Google Big Query's public dataset which is behind a paywall, so use that NYC link instead.
