I went on a hike in Washington this weekend to clear my head and to take advantage of the gorgeous weather. Here are a few photos from our hike. I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a beautiful day. In other news I've started reading The Most Human Human by Brian Christian. The book chronicles a contest in England where humans and computers interact with a panel of human judges in a classic Turing test; The simple objective is for the judges to distinguish man from machine through a series of questions; Easier said than done.
The book is tackling the basic existential question: "what makes usdistinctly human?" Where it gets good is how we're redefining what makes us human as technology increasingly advances ('encroaching' on our sacred domain) and this is NOT sci-fi. Good times.. The sun is shining .. I think I'm going outside now.
