Modern Football in the Roman Coliseum
I saw the spirit of New Orleans on Monday night and she is very much alive and doing better than ever. I had the good fortune of acquiring some seats to the New Orleans Saints vs the NY Giants football game on Monday night. The game was at Giants Stadium but was technically a 'home' game for New Orleans. The Saints has been playing their home games at different stadiums across the country due to the cleanup effort following Hurricane Katrina. Three Doors Down performed during halftime and Harry Connick Jr sang the national Anthem with Branford Marsalis on the horns.

Is this what it was like in Ancient Rome at the Coliseum? So many parallels .. I need to think about that some more .....
